Valloire is a lively, characteristic village in the Haute Savoie area of the French Alps close to the Italian border. In winter it provides an excellent ski area with 2 cable cars and a chair lift directly from the village all within minutes of the apartment. These take you up to the vast ski areas above. The upper pistes also connect with the ski areas of the neighbouring villages of Valmeinier 1500 and 1800 and with the purchase of a week's ski pass one is also entitled to a discount for a day's skiing in the Trois Vallee close by - accessible by cable car from the valley below.

In Summer the mountain pastures are full of alpine flowers and there are wonderful mountain trails for both walking and cycling. The village offers plenty of life and excitement with it's many bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Shops are good and sell a selection of local specialities and of course the usual delicatessens and boulangeries, banking and medical facilities. Valloire also boasts a skating rink, large fitness centre, Ten pin bowling and games hall and in summer, a large open air swimming pool with water slides and extensive public tennis courts.

Our apartment, in a small typical, wood clad chalet, sleeps up to 6 people in a double bedroom, a bunk bedroom and on a large comfortable sofa-bed in the main living area. There is a bath/shower room with WC and also a separate WC off the main hallway. A kitchen 'corner' within the main living area houses a hob, microwave/grill/oven, fridgefreezer and a full size dishwasher. There is ample hanging and shelf space in the hallway and passage, with fitted wardrobes in the main bedroom - which also houses the washing machine. A balcony overlooks the village and nursery ski school area and the apartment has plenty of windows, making this a bright and interesting place to be - summer or winter.

Apartment 21 B is on the first floor and there is a lift within the building. There is a ski locker for the use of guests during the winter season and a large communal (locked) area for mountain bikes in the summer.

The booking conditions are the same as our other properties in Tuscany and Mallorca. Prices are per week and include heating, cleaning and utilities (there is no phone but mobile reception is good.)
